A wonderful choral from Viennese composer Oscar Straus (1870-1954), with lyrics by John Henry Lyons and newly arranged by David Kellermeyer. A piece inspired by the joy of singing itself, the flowing tempo builds to the climactic lines, “Whate’er betides you, sing for the joy of the song that’s inside you, Sing!” A fine selection for both secular and sacred older-youth and adult choirs.
