Description
In program notes for his solo flute piece from 1977, Lamb wrote, “Solowalk is part of a larger portfolio project that has been going on for some time. It is my desire to write a series of idiomatic solo works for each instrument of the orchestra using the same pitch row for each work. Solowalk is the first of these and was completed very early in my career as just such a piece.” In 2010, Lamb returned to the Solowalk, this time for solo horn. For advanced hornists.
