Description
This is ideal for the first concert. It builds confidence as they all play rhythmically together and the sound is full and rich. All chords of the diatonic scale are used so it does not sound like a nursery rhyme. The students are impressed with a full page of music, but for the director there are only two eight bar phrases to teach. Simple scales and arpeggios are incorporated into the song. The 1st trumpet’s highest note is A. No clarinets cross the break.
