Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) completed his Symphony No. 25 in G minor, K. 183/173dB in October of 1773, when the young composer was only 17 years old. One of two symphonies Mozart wrote in G minor, this one is sometimes referred to as the “Little G minor Symphony,” with the “Great G minor Symphony” reserved for his Symphony No. 40. K. 550. The first movement was famously used as the opening music for director Milo� Forman’s 1984 film Amadeus. This critical edition is by Hermann Beck.
