Description
This Mozart-inspired work, completed in January of 1877, was the first composition by Tchaikovsky for cello and orchestra. While for many the years, Variations on a Rococo Theme was only known in a version heavily edited by Wilhelm Fitzenhagen, to whom the work was dedicated, this piano reduction by Paul Tobias is reconstructed using the original version.
